Project: Bridge Building on Rainey Creek
Location: Rainey Creek, Palisades Ranger District of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest
When: August 24th & 25, September 21, 2024
Project Partners: Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, U.S. Forest Service Bridger-Teton National Forest, Idaho Single Track Alliance, Idaho Falls Trail Machine Association, Snake River Mountain Bike Club, Tread Lightly, Snake River Cutthroats and Roof Rescue.
Saturday August 24th 56 volunteers showed up built 2.5 bridges. On the 25th 23 volunteers finished off the current work completing the remaining 1.5 bridges. The project continued on September 21 after permitting allowed some stream work and the final 5th bridge was completed.
